The Mirer Family Foundation was established on September 20, 1996 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3). Our main focus has been to help children in the specific areas of health and education. In order to reach and assist more children we are expanding our network. One of our goals has been to merge our business, Mirror Napa Valley, and the Mirer Family Foundation more closely together through specific promotions and campaigns.
Over the past 24 years, we have provided continual support to The United Way, Boys and Girls Clubs, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bashor Children’s Home, San Diego Police Officers’ “Widows and Orphans Fund”, several schools and churches and a variety of other charitable programs that benefit children including the scholarship assistance to over a dozen local Notre Dame Clubs across the country.
Our current endowment at the University of Notre Dame provides financial assistance to multiple students each year. To date, we have been able to assist over 24 students with scholarship money from our gift to Notre Dame back in 1998. We are approaching the $1M mark of scholarship assistance and endowment value remaining. This will continue to grow!
Further, every year the NFL Foundation awards $1M in grants to support the charitable work of current and former NFL players – qualification for these grants are partially based on the amount of money that is raised by foundations such as ours. We are proud to say the NFL has recently awarded us a grant matching our efforts! It is our goal to continue teaming up with Mirror Napa Valley and the NFL to help as many children as possible.
